| as much as i dont like horror movies ,i do enjoy vampire films. for me the best of these would have to be interview with a vampire (brad pitt, tom cruise ,kisten dunst) . a very nice story line and not too heavy on the cgi . having read the books i enjoyed this film alot.
the worst i have seen when it comes to vampire movies is twilight . this is a movie thats more cgi than story another hollywood cash cow if its a choice between a tooth extraction or watching twilight take the dentle work its more entertaining. | |

| I must say that I liked Van Helsing a lot; nice action ; dark atmosphere and a good dose of humor; That deeply philosophical Frankenstein monster is too good to be true. ... and Kate ... well, she is eyecandy anytime and apparently very dedicated to the vampiretheme as she stars in the Underworld sequel as well. | |

| I love vampire movies and have seen my share of cheesy and awesome ones...of course in my case cheesy is awesome so that may alter the validity of my opinion. at any rate I love humor mixed with my horror, so one of my all time faves is "Innocent blood" has a great cast and a really fun story a really cute little french vampire girl vs the Italian mob. I also like the older Hammer films starring Christopher Lee as Dracula, they were the first to add more gore and a little sex appeal to the genre. I agree with Marius about "Interview with a vampire" although I never read the books I loved the movie...and I also loved Van Helsing and Underworld the first Blade movie was really well done too. I'd better stop now, or I'll fill up the whole page with my ramblings... | |

So different are the tastes. For me, "Interview with the Vampire" was the most boring film I´ve ever seen. Director Neil Jordan could not decide himself, if he made a horror movie or a drama. It´s nothing of both. So I was lucky in the cinema, when the movie was over. The movie got a nomination for the "Golden Raspberry" The best vampire movies are always the Hammer movies with Christopher Lee, also the Coppola movie with Gary Oldman in the leading part is OK.
